Thanks to its small dimensions, LiFePO4 batteries can be located in a considerable number of places. This technology offers a high energy density for a smaller volume.
Up to 10 times longer lifespan than AGM batteries
Designed to last more than 10 years, the Lithium iron phosphate batteries can deliver a large number of cycles where a conventional Lead Acid AGM battery has a 2 or 3 years lifespan, and maximum lifecycle of 500 to 600 cycles.
Each battery is fitted with a electronic device called Battery Management System (BMS), that manage the balancing of lithium ion battery-cells during charge. The BMS is designed to protect battery health and to stop battery operation in the event of :
- Over-voltage (during charging)
- Under-voltage (during discharge)
- Over-temperature of cells
- Under-temperature of cells
BMS protects the battery in real time to ensure total safety (no risk of thermal runaway or fire).
Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries are environmentally-friendly : no toxic or dangerous material such as lead, acid, cadmium, cobalt, nickel, etc. These battery have a lower ecological footprint than other battery technologies.
